
Rental Terms and Conditions
By renting a garment from Chic Glam Closet, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Garment Care
You are responsible for the care of the rented garment during the rental period. Treat the garment with care and respect. You are liable for any loss, damage, or destruction beyond normal wear and tear (which includes minor stains, small rips, missing beads/buttons, or broken zippers). Chic Glam Closet reserves the right to determine if damage exceeds normal wear and tear.
Garment Exchanges
You may exchange your booked garment for a different one up to your pickup or shipping date, subject to availability. If the new garment is of higher value, you will pay the difference. If it is of lesser value, you will receive a store credit for the price difference.
Cancellations
You may cancel your booking up to the first day of your rental period or the day your garment is shipped and receive a store credit (no expiry) for future rentals. All rental bookings are non-refundable.
Rental Period
Once you receive or pick up your garment, it is considered rented for the agreed-upon period. No refunds or credits are issued if you choose not to wear the garment.
- Standard Rentals: The rental duration for standard bookings (more than 2 days) is 48 hours.
- Immediate or Last-Minute Rentals: The rental duration for immediate bookings (less than 2 days in advance) is limited to 24 hours.
- Rental Duration Extension: You can extend your rental duration for a fee of $10 per day.
Reservations
Garments are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis upon payment. While we strive to avoid double bookings for the same event, we cannot guarantee this. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if a garment is already booked for the same event. When booking online, please provide event details (date, venue, event name) in the checkout notes.
Garment Condition
Rented garments have been worn and may not be in brand-new condition. While all items are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before each rental, minor wear and tear or visible repairs may be present. As a sustainable business, we embrace the re-use of garments and appreciate your understanding that minor imperfections do not affect the garment's overall wearability. Chic Glam Closet is not liable for minor wear and tear.
Late Returns
Late returns incur a $30 per item per day late fee, strictly enforced. Late returns impact scheduling and prevent timely preparation for the next rental. For shipped items, late fees apply if the return shipment is postmarked after the agreed-upon return date. You will not be charged late fees due to carrier delays.
Note: Late returns beyond 2 days will result in the full retail price of the garment being charged to your credit card.
Cleaning
Do not dry clean or attempt to clean the rented garment yourself. Professional cleaning is included in the rental price. Simply return the garment in the provided packaging.
Perfumes & Tanning Lotions
Keep perfumes and tanning lotions away from rented garments, as these can cause significant staining. A cleaning fee will be applied if a garment is returned with perfume or spray tan residue. If you use self-tanner, please do so at least 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) before wearing the rented garment.
Alterations
No alterations are permitted on rented garments, including temporary hemming. You will be responsible for any repair costs due to alterations.
Zippers
All zippers are tested before the garment leaves our store. Zipper malfunctions during your rental period are beyond our control, and refunds are not issued for zipper issues.
Non-Returns
Non-returned garments will be considered theft and charged at full retail value, in addition to any rental or late fees. We may refer these charges to external collections agencies.
Payment Method and Terms
Payments must be made via credit card only.
- Advance Booking Rentals (4 days or more before the pickup date): 100% payment of the rental cost is required to secure the dress at the time of reservation (subject to availability). Cancellations of advanced bookings will be refunded as store credit.
- Standard Rentals (3 days from the pickup date) & Immediate or Last-Minute Bookings (1 day from the pickup date): 100% of the total rental cost is required at the time of booking or pick-up, respectively.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel or modify your dress rental up to 24 hours before your reserved time. If switching to a different item (subject to availability), any price differences will be adjusted at the time of the change.
Cancellations will not be eligible for a refund. Instead, the full payment will be issued as store credit for future use.
Inspection and Condition
Pre-Pickup Inspection: The dress will be inspected and photographed (inside and outside) prior to pick up. Customers will receive these inspection photos for their records.
Return Inspection: Upon return, the dress will be inspected and photographed again to verify its condition. Customers will receive an inspection report documenting the condition of the dress.
Dresses must be returned in their original condition. Altering rented garments in any way, including applying temporary hem tape, is strictly prohibited. Any alterations will require professional repair at the renter’s expense.
Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning is Chic Glam Closet's responsibility. Please do not wash or take the item to a dry cleaner. Dry cleaning is included in your rental fee. Simply return the item to our store or use our delivery return option.
Liability
Chic Glam Closet is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or allergic reactions caused by the rented items. By confirming your rental booking, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
